Our HomecAir Villavent Heat Recovery Ventilation and Central Vacuum Systems have now been running in our New Build for over a year. Both systems have been performing extremely well with no issues. The Heat Recovery System is a complete necessity, working in combination with our Air Source Heat Pump , in providing an overall low cost Under Floor Heating System.
From the initial conversation with Homecare Systems, taking their advice in key aspects during the design stage, we found that nothing was too large a challenge for them. Also during the installation, their team of fitters blended with other subcontractors on site resulting in a seamless job being completed to a very high standard.

Client Tom Wilson was planning to renovate a small town house for downsizing from his comparatively large detached semi-rural dwelling in the Magherafelt area. Tom had extensive trade experience and recognised the constant evolution within construction. Early in the discussions with Tom the Homecare engineer explained how the system would perform and what could be expected from the MVHR system. One barrier the client had was that he had been advised by another source that his house was too small for MVHR. Homecare openly discussed with the client the merit of this statement. It was discussed how a property of a smaller volume would likely see a faster deterioration in air quality than that of a larger property. So MVHR was critical in maintaining a healthy environment and heat retention inside this renovated town house.

Client Michael Quinn from Armagh contacted Homecare Systems back in February 2012. The client had seen the company’s advertisement in a local self build magazine. The client was preparing to build a large one off home (circa 600m2) that he wanted to be as healthy and as efficient as possible. Coming from a family of asthmatics a healthy home was high on the agenda. Homecare Systems was able to talk the client through all aspects of what he could expect and how to achieve the best performing MVHR for his home. The allergy approved filtration was of huge interest to the client as an added confidence about the level of air quality that could be achieved.

Edward Johnson contacted Homecare Systems to help advise about an existing MVHR system he had installed in his home in 2007. The client contacted Homecare Systems due to strong recommendation from a relative, who had not heard of Homecare back when Edward was constructing his home. The company who had installed the initial system had since ceased trading. The client felt that the air flow to the ground floor of his (circa 260m2) was poor. The client was keen to have Homecare Systems assess his current system and advise on what action, if any, was needed.
Homecare Systems inspected and tested the system. Indeed the airflow as suspected by the client was very poor. The unit was also found to be undersized by the standards Homecare Systems would advise. Homecare Systems explained that they could improve the ducting system in the roof space significantly and this would have a proportionate effect on the ground floor. The option was also taken by the client to install a new unit sized to the best practice capacity.

Great care was taken to make sure that we understood the system, what it would do and how it should be used. I was also impressed with the extent of the work carried out in order to design the installation both from plans and site survey.
The team who came to install were meticulous in how they carried out their work, and co-operating with the other trades on the site. Every part of the installation was carried out on schedule with no delays.
At commissioning everything was explained to us and follow up communication was great ensuring that we were getting the best out of the system.

Great system guys, it works well we couldn’t have an airtight house without it.
